    New procedure for students enrolling in ODL or Online Programme from academic year 2024-25.

    About DEB ID-

    DEB ID is a unique ID that is to be mandatorily created by the learner who wishes to get admission in ODL/Online Programme. The purpose of the DEB-ID is to ensure that learners are taking admission in the ODL/Online programmes of the Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) which are recognized by the Commission. This process will facilitate the learner about the recognised/entitled HEIs and approved programme. It is valid for students across a life cycle of ODL/OL mode of learning.

    Steps to follow for taking admission in Open and Distance Learning/Online Programmes:

    Step 1 - Create ABC ID 

    ​Step 2 - Create DEB ID

    ​Step 3 - Enroll in UGC recognized HEI Using DEB ID

    ​Step 4 - Complete admission process on HEI  portal using DEB ID
